PortableServer::Current 인터페이스는 CORBA::Current 로부터 파생해, 메서드의 각 구현으로 그 메서드 호출의 대상이 되는 객체의 ID에 액세스 할 수 있도록 합니다. Current 인터페이스는 복수의 객체를 구현하는 서번트를 지원 하기 위해서 준비되어 있습니다만, 임의의 서번트에 대한 POA 디스패치메서드의 컨텍스트 내에서 사용할 수 있습니다. 위치의 투과성을 실현하기 때문에 ORB 에서는 로컬과 리모트의 양쪽 모두로 불려 간 오퍼레이션의 컨텍스트 으로 Current를 사용할 수 있도록 하고 있습니다. Current 인스턴스는 어플리케이션으로 CORBA::ORB::resolve_initial_references("POACurrent") 오퍼레이션을 실행하는 것에 의해 취득할 수 있습니다. 그 그 뒤로는 POA에 의해 디스패치 되는 메서드의 컨텍스트 내에서 사용해, 그 오퍼레이션의 호출의 대상이 되는 객체를 식별하는 POA와 ObjectId를 취득할 수 있습니다.
